A Globally Recognized Expert in Dairy Processing
The founder of LactoFoods Consulting, Dr. Ashraf Hassan, is a globally recognized expert in dairy processing. He completed his PhD research and postdoctoral training at the University of Georgia. His academic contributions include appointments as a faculty member at South Dakota State University, and as a visiting professor at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and Chungnam National University, South Korea. Dr. Hassan currently serves as an adjunct professor at Kansas State University.
Dr. Hassan’s experience extends well beyond academia, encompassing over a decade of industry leadership at Daisy Brand, a leading dairy processing company in the United States. He has provided expert consultation to numerous companies across North America, the Middle East, and Europe, and has contributed his expertise to USAID-funded Farmer-to-Farmer projects in the Republic of Georgia, Lebanon, and Tanzania.
In recognition of his excellence in teaching and research, Dr. Hassan has received national and international awards in dairy research.
